Brothers Domenico and Giovan Battista Basile purchased this land in 1999, involving their families in the endeavor as well.
The property had been left in a state of abandon for 30 years.
After the acquisition, Giovan Battista decided to permanently move with his family from Naples - his hometown - to Cinigiano, to dedicate himself completely to farming, while Domenico, his partner in this enterprise, at that time already running his own business, presently manages the marketing branch of the farm.
After an initial harsh work aimed at recovering land and radically restoring the vineyards, which had been cultivated for centuries on the same soil, the first positive results became evident in 2003.
Giovan Battista has always diligently attended to all of the agricultural and oenological activities with the help of Roberto Cipresso, a world renowned winemaker, wine oscar winner in 2007. In business, however, is always in the fields, along with a long family farms of the place.
Giovan Battista's wife Ilaria, together with their young brothers Antonio and Federico, is in charge of welcoming guests and wine tasting.
On these occasions the wines are accompanied with genuine, wholesome products and traditional homemade cooking.
Laura, Domenico’s wife, has brought to life some projects including the wine cellar and wine labeling.
